The Army Angling Federation Game (AAF (G)) represents the Game discipline of the Army Angling Federation. The Soldier Palmers’ (SP) is the name of our competition squads which competes in numerous angling events in England, Wales and Scotland including (but not limited to):

  • Association of Major Fishing Clubs (AMFC) Leagues 1 and 3
  • Bob Church Open and Classic Events
  • Invicta Floating Line Invitation
  • The Anglian Water AIRFLO International (AWAI)

The aims of the AAF (G) are to promote and foster game angling in the British Army for serving, ex-serving members and their dependants. To achieve this we normally have three annual meetings available to all members:

  • Spring Match – Available as a try before you buy event for any prospective new members
  • Army Championships (Including Inter-Corps Championships)
  • Autumn Match

The standard of our top echelon of anglers is a match for any within the UK and Europe; we regularly have SP members representing the Army competing at international level.
